During periods of inclement weather, such as snow and ice, we may need to delay or suspend collection to ensure the safety of our drivers and the public. Our priority is to avoid any risk to people or property. While our trucks can often navigate snow and ice, their significant size and weight make stopping difficult in slippery conditions.
Depending on local conditions, collection may be suspended for an entire route or just specific streets if they are deemed unsafe. If your pickup is delayed by more than one day due to weather, we will likely resume your service the following week. In these cases, we will collect double your usual service amount at no extra charge.
We understand that these delays can be frustrating; they are for us as well. As soon as road conditions improve, we will work diligently to get everyone back on schedule. Please leave your trash out and ready for pickup.
